Florida Online Cosmetology Courses

All of our courses are Florida Board of Cosmetology approved. Here's a little more information about our online Florida cosmetology training.

10-Hour Continuing Education Course for Cosmetologists

  • This is for cosmetologists/specialists/nail technicians wishing to renew their license. Learn how to renew your Florida cosmetology license.
  • The course includes seven modules:
    • HIV/AIDs Health Information
    • Sanitation and Sterilization
    • State and Federal Laws
    • Workers' Compensation and Florida Law
    • OSHA Regulations
    • Chemical Make-up of Hair, Skin, and Nails
    • Environmental Issues
  • At the end of each module will be a quiz — The quizzes are true/false.
  • Students have an unlimited number of attempts to pass the final exam.

4-Hour HIV/AIDS Course for Initial Cosmetology Licensure

  • Anyone wishing to acquire their cosmetology license MUST take the 4-hour HIV/AIDS course for initial cosmetology licensure. This course is also approved for cosmetology and barber endorsement license 4-hour HIV/AIDs training requirement. Learn how to become a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Florida.
  • Such topics covered throughout the course include:
    • Modes of transmission of HIV/AIDS
    • Communicable diseases
    • Infection control procedures
    • Prevention of HIV, AIDS, and communicable diseases
    • Appropriate attitudes dealing with clients who may have HIV, AIDS, or a communicable disease.
  • At the end of the 4-hour course, there will be a 20-question final exam that covers the information you have learned.
  • Students have an unlimited amount of attempts to pass.

2-Hour HIV/AIDS Continuing Education Course for Barbers

  • This course will cover HIV/AIDS as it applies to Barbers, Restricted Barbers and Barber's Assistants.
  • Course topics include:
    • Modes of transmission of HIV/AIDS
    • Communicable diseases
    • Infection control procedures
    • Prevention of HIV, AIDS, and communicable diseases
    • Appropriate attitudes dealing with clients who may have HIV, AIDS, or a communicable disease.
  • At the end of the 2-hour course, there will be a 20-question final exam that covers the information you have learned.
  • Students have an unlimited amount of attempts to pass.
